The Novus Biologicals Scholarship Program is awarded to students pursuing a degree in a science related field twice a year. A $1500 (or international currency equivalent) scholarship will be awarded to one student for the fall and spring semesters. *US, Canada, and European Countries only

Research is a critical component for the development and advancement in the life science community. We want to further scientific achievement by helping students who are interested in developing a career in science.

Fall 2020 applications must be submitted by July 29 12 p.m. MST. Scholarship recipient will be announced the week following the deadline on this page. Only the recipient will be emailed directly announcing the selection. Our Spring 2021 application will open the week following July 29 and be open through mid-December 2020.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicants must have a major declared in a science related field (list of accepted studies in application above).
  • Enrolled or accepted for enrollment (baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree, or diploma)
  • Open in the US, Canada, and European countries only
  • No GPA requirement

DEADLINE & ANNOUNCEMENTS 

  • Deadline for this application is July 29 12 p.m. MST
  • The recipient will be emailed directly within 2 weeks following the deadline
  • Recipients will be announced here on our scholarship page.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete the online application
  • Upload any documentation/verification of the degree/program you have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in.  Files must be less than 50 MB and in one of the following formats: jpg, jpeg, png, pdf, doc or docx.
  • List your extra curricular activities related to your field of study
  • Personal Statement: Write a personal statement of 500 words or less on the impact you strive to make using a degree in your field of interest.
  • Written Statement: Write a written statement of 500 words or less on why you chose this field of study.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What majors are eligible? All science related majors are eligible (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Medical Engineering etc.) Full list can be found in the application form above.
  2. When will you send me the check if I am selected as the recipient? If selected, we will send the check directly to the university listed in the application to disperse.
  3. Can the money be used towards room/board and personal expenses? We send the check directly to the university listed in the application to disperse the check.
  4. I already have a degree. Can I apply for this scholarship? Yes! You may apply for this scholarship to further pursue your science-related education.
  5. My payment for school is coming up. Can you let me know if I have been selected before the deadline? We are unable to announce the recipient prior to the deadline.
  6. I don’t have a declared major. Can I still apply for this scholarship? Unfortunately, no.
  7. Will you help me get to the United States? No, we only offer the scholarship.
