Publish Your Articles: Internships at Her Campus Media

April 3, 2020 @ 8:00 am - December 31, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

Her Campus Media | Drupal.org

Internships are available to current college students year-round on a full-time or part-time basis both in our Boston office and remotely (unless otherwise specified).

Internships are unpaid and are offered for school credit. Start/end dates and hours are flexible.

Please note: Internship applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and as such, positions may be filled before the deadline listed.  We encourage you to submit your application as soon as you can.

Being a Her Campus Media intern means being given meaningful, fulfilling, skill-building tasks and projects that will help you learn what you are and are not interested in, teach you new skills, and set you up for success in future jobs and internships. Applicants should have strong communication, organization and strategic thinking skills as well as working knowledge of all Microsoft Office platforms. Successful interns are hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient and creative and are passionate about Her Campus Media’s mission.

Since joining the Her Campus Media Team, members have been offered jobs and internships at Glamour, Vogue, BuzzFeed, Vanity Fair, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, People, The Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, InStyle, Esquire, O, MTV, The Washington Post, Digitas, Ogilvy, among others. Her Campus Media also frequently hires former interns for our own open positions.

Here are some pro-tips from our team members to help you create the best application possible:

  1. Read all instructions carefully. This will allow you to assemble a complete application. Incomplete applications are not considered.

  2. When writing your cover letter — and yes, we ask for cover letters — don’t just reiterate your resume or coursework. Instead, speak to how your experiences and career goals align with our company values. Tell us what you’re hoping to get from and contribute to the role and company. Want to go the extra mile and address your application to the hiring manager? Visit our Leadership Team page.

  3. Follow your passion. Apply for the role that’s the best fit for you. When you’re excited about a company, we can understand the impulse of applying for every single opportunity you qualify for at once. However, it makes it difficult for our team to determine how you will best fit within the company. Instead, apply for one role and explain to us why you would be the best fit for that role.

Once you submit your application, our team will review the materials and follow-up via email if it’s a good fit. Check your spam folder in case our follow-up email is filtered there.  Please, no phone calls.
